Associate of Arts in Fashion Marketing (AAFM)
The Fashion Marketing program at American InterContinental University is designed to provide students with the education and experience needed to pursue careers in the dynamic, specialized field of fashion marketing. Through the Associate of Arts in Fashion Marketing degree program, students are given the opportunity to examine various marketing concepts, business principles, retail and promotional strategies, and career paths in the ever-changing, fast-paced fashion industry.

The Associate of Arts in Fashion Marketing features industry-relevant coursework taught by faculty members with real-world experience. Some of the key topics addressed in the degree program include uses of textiles, the history of fashion, principles of fashion marketing, event planning and promotion, and principles of retailing.
Students who successfully complete the program should be able to:
- Analyze consumer needs, and preferences that are used to forecast, plan, market, and promote clothing and related products.
- Describe fashion marketing tools and activities.
- Discuss how consumer attitudes, beliefs, and buying habits affect marketing, display, and merchandising decisions.
- Utilize market research to plan publicity events, develop promotional strategies, and create effective advertising campaigns.
- Discuss the evolution of fashion and fashion marketing, and the role of fashion marketing within the industry today.
- Examine the sourcing, buying, and management of merchandise within the fashion retailing industry, with a focus on manufacturing and distribution processes.
